Cindy has practiced nursing for over 40 years and has worked in the perioperative arena for more than half of her career. As a staff nurse she worked in all perioperative areas (presurgical testing, day surgery, PACU phases I and II, OR, surgical scrub). Cindy’s experience also includes quality improvement with Six Sigma training, project management, policy & procedure development, staff education, electronic medical record implementation, and management of both free-standing and hospital-based ambulatory surgery centers (ASC). Cindy’s most recent administrative position was that of Clinical Director for a busy physician-owned ophthalmology surgery center. Her responsibilities included managing the clinical staff, credentialing & privileging of providers, risk management, accreditation preparation, facility management, management of vendor contracts and supply chain. In addition to managing that facility, she concurrently served as project manager for the development and opening of a new surgery center owned by the same physician group and has served as an interim Executive Director for a multi-location, multi-specialty private medical practice. Currently, Cindy is working for the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) as an ASC surveyor, where in addition to conducting ambulatory accreditation surveys and Medicare deemed status surveys, she serves on AAAHC's accreditation committee workgroup.

Anapa is a Certified Administrator Surgery Center (CASC) with over 35 years of healthcare experience including ambulatory surgery centers as well as private, hospital-based and academic medical practice leadership roles. She has management expertise in human resources (talent acquisition, salary negotiation, staff development & training, terminations), revenue cycle (contract negotiation, benchmarking & forecasting, documentation & coding, billing & collections, reimbursement, data analytics & reporting), compliance (Federal regulatory reporting, HIPAA, contract adherence, clinical documentation), credentialing (payer revalidation, provider verification), physician education (coding & documentation guidelines, payer medical policy adherence), health information management (system configuration & implementation, file maintenance, release of information), operations management (policies & procedures development, staffing) and finance. In her prior roles as an ASC administrator and practice CFO tasked with managing all financial risks for the organization, Anapa's combined responsibilities include leading aspects of personnel management, budgetary oversight and strategic planning related to issues like supply chain and revenue management for physician-owned ambulatory surgery centers and medical practices in the most cost effective manner.
